I am Dr. Holzmacher, a psychologist specialized in neuropsychology.  My website offers a place to quickly and easily make appointments, as well as obtain information about common psychological and neuro-psychological conditions. It is never easy to decide on the best professional to handle your particular problem.  The articles discussing psychological and neuropsychological issues offer a unique window into my thoughts.  It is hoped this window will reduce tension for those making an appointment, and spur comments from those taking a more academic interest.

My goal is to offer real information and real alternatives.

What if you are too busy for an office visit, or live too far away?  Consider psychotherapy over the internet. The Clinic Window explains the structure of online psychotherapy, offers a form to provide informed consent, and contains a brief disclaimer for those who may not be appropriate for online psychotherapy.  This page is also a storefront, where new and existing patients may purchase online psychotherapy time, office psychotherapy time, outpatient testing hours, and even neuropsychological testing time-performed in the office.

Visually impaired visitors may listen to a welcome message from Dr. Holzmacher by clicking on the play button to the left.  Obnoxiously healthy visitors may use this opportunity to rest their perfect eyes on the world’s youngest, and smallest, psych intern.  Pressing on her image will start the silent video.

Please note that while comments are  encouraged,  it is not advisable to refer to someone by name without their permission.  A web log is public and even capable of syndication, such that personal comments may reach the party in a rather unfavorable light.  In general, it is best to avoid giving information that could identify someone without their knowledge or consent.  Please note that the comments section has been deleted from many posts, secondary to the action of unscrupulous spammers.
